This page explains what data the Ghazl website collects when you order, book a workshop, register or get in touch, and how we use and protect it.
Orders and workshop bookings
When you order from the shop we keep your name, phone number and email address, the delivery address and emirate, the delivery day and slot, the pieces with their colours and sizes or the workshop session, the payment method and any note you write, such as the words for a greeting card. We use them to confirm, prepare and deliver the order or booking, and share only your name, address and phone number with the delivery driver. Nothing is paid on the website; you pay on delivery or at the workshop, in cash or by card.
Accounts and the contact form
- Customer accounts: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), addresses and order history.
- The contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, kept in the website’s dashboard.
- WhatsApp messages to confirm an order, a delivery slot or a workshop, or to ask about a piece, are also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Cookies and what your browser keeps
We use only the cookies we need: for signing in, for keeping your cart during your visit and for protecting forms from automated messages. Your browser also keeps a copy of the cart to speed pages up, and your care guide ticks if you use them. We use no tracking or advertising tools, and you can clear all of this by deleting this site’s data in your browser.
Retention and your rights
Orders are kept for five years for accounting, as the law requires, and contact messages for twelve months. You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or the deletion of your account at any time from the contact page, and we reply within thirty days.
